4 Canva features I can't live without

Canva is a free-to-use graphic design platform without traditional costly subscription costs or complex keyboard shortcuts, it provides a brilliant gateway into the world of design and content.

Launched in 2013, it is now the go-to tool for many in the creative sector and a great option for a business looking to dip a toe into the creative world. With templates and tutorials, it offers a simple introduction to the world of graphic design and can enable everyone to create brilliant branding for their businesses.

Investing in a paid-for account unlocks more features and large libraries of licenced video and imagery all while still being well below the usual costs for graphic suites.

My Favourite Features

I'm a big fan of Canva. A powerhouse of creative freedom, I use it from socials to stories, banners to branding, presentations to print marketing and everything in between. Check out my favourite Canva features and tools below, and how I use them.

My favourite feature is the magic image expander. If you miss a bit of an image, just use the expander to fill the space! Easy!

Brand Kit

Another favourite on Canva is the Brand Kit option. The ability to switch seamlessly between different brand identities with just a click is incredibly useful and means that the colours are always correct.

Elements Tool

 Another good one is the elements tool. With the ‘Pro’ library unlocked you can build anything from a moving tractor to a dog. The biggest limit is your imagination.

Audio Library

I love the wide variety of audio in the audio library. With my pro licence, there’s always a perfect sound to pick. A close second is the background remover tool.
